Deflocculation
Is your glaze too thick and taking too long to flow through the flow cup? Then the viscosity is too high. You’ll need to deflocculate the glaze to make it thinner again. This is done using Dolapix PC67, a powerful product. Always handle it with great care.
Start by mixing the glaze thoroughly. Then add Dolapix drop by drop. Most glazes only require a few drops to a few millilitres, depending on the quantity of glaze. Stir well after each addition using a brush. You will notice the glaze becoming more fluid quite quickly. Then measure the viscosity again using the flow cup.
Repeat this process step by step until you reach the target draining time indicated on the label of your SOGO glaze.
Note: If you accidentally add too much Dolapix and the glaze becomes too fluid, don’t worry. You can thicken it again by flocculating the glaze with Epsom salts, as explained in another video.
